Former Valletta FC player Raymond Bone passed away.

Ray Bone was born on 13th January 1957, he is the son of Legendary player Walter Bone. Raymond Bone, made his debut with Valletta FC on February 21, 1976. His first game was against Marsa. Raymond’s team emerged victorious with a convincing 3-0 scoreline.

Raymond Bone showcased his abilities in 29 games with Valletta Football Club. His technical prowess and dedication to the sport were evident as he consistently performed at a high level, earning the respect of both teammates and opponents alike.

Raymond’s involvement in the FA Trophy was also significant, with 11 appearances in this prestigious competition. His determination and passion for the game were on display during these matches, and he played a crucial role in helping his team secure the FA Trophy title during the 1976-77 season.

In addition to the First Division and FA Trophy, Raymond also participated in other tournaments. He played two games in the Independence Cup and one match in the Sons of Malta Cup.

Raymond was part of the championship-winning team in the 1977-78 season and in 1983-84 season.

Raymond Bone’s final game took place on February 26, 1984, against Hamrun S. It was a memorable match, with Raymond’s team securing a 1-0 victory.
