Victor Sciriha
Victor Sciriha was born on September 16, 1950, in Paola. He was educated at St Joseph’s High School in Valletta, the Hamrun Lyceum, and the University of Malta.
One of Malta’s leading businessmen, he is the Managing Director of Medicem, Malta.
Victor has a long association with football. In his youth, he played for Hamrun Spartans, Luqa St Andrew’s and Ghaxaq FC. He also represented Malta in FISEC Games against Portugal and captained the Malta University Football Team.
Victor achieved much more as an administrator. He was President of Marsaxlokk FC for nine years guiding the team from the Third Division for the Premier League Championship. The team also reached the FA Trophy final for the first time but unfortunately lost 0-2 against Sliema Wanderers.
With Valletta F.C., Sciriha has found much more fertile ground to farrow and under his leadership, the team won the League Championship seven times and the FA trophy three times.
Victor Sciriha stepped down from his role as Valletta FC President on Monday 14th June 2021. The resignation announcement came during the club’s annual general meeting.
